Jeep Cherokee XJ, MJ Heavy Duty Inner Steering Box Spacer Plate in Buckeye, Arizona

Replace your flimsy OEM cast aluminum spacer with this heavy duty 3/16" steel plate spacer. Can be welded and bolted on with factory steering box mounting holes and tow hook hole. (Welding NOT necessary) Comes with three 3/4" x 120" spacers to go through the uniframe, on the steering box mounting bolts. Just  open up the outersteering box mounting holes with a drill or a grinder. Then insert the spacer with bolt into the steering box(spacer may need trimmed to be flush with outside of the frame rail, as it's a little long to accomodate our frame stiffeners as well as others). This allows the bolts to be torqued tightly without crushing the frame rail, and makes a very solid mount. Includes three 7/16" Grade 8 mounting bolts/washersand one 5/8"grade 8 bolt/lock nut and washers for the factory tow hook hole. Medium or high strength threadlocker is recommended on steering box bolts.
The rear hole for tow hook may need opened up with a drill or die grinder for some model years.
